Cortina and Venice Airport together to promote the Queen of the Dolomites with a dedicated marketing campaign

Cortina d’Ampezzo and Venice’s “Marco Polo” Airport are strengthening their partnership with the “Just 2 hours away from here!” territorial marketing campaign displayed in the terminal’s arrivals area, reminding passengers of the proximity of Cortina and the Dolomites, which can be reached from the Venice airport in just two hours.

A call made through evocative images of Cortina’s most iconic mountains, accompanied by the iconic red squirrel symbol, placed in the baggage claim area that becomes an international showcase for the Queen of the Dolomites.

The initiative, which stems from an agreement between Cortina Marketing and the SAVE Group, is particularly aimed at raising awareness among travelers from long-haul destinations, which make up a growing traffic segment at Marco Polo.

“Venice Airport is in fact the airport of Cortina d’Ampezzo. This is why we are proud of the partnership struck with Save that promotes the image of Cortina in the arrivals area of the Venetian airport. At this time when Cortina and the rest of the territory is launched towards an international tourism development, following the visibility that the Olympics and Paralympics will give us, all the synergies with the realities interested in collaborating in this development become fundamental. Cortina Marketing is doing an excellent job precisely to foster these collaborations “-said Roberta Alverà, deputy mayor of Cortina d’Ampezzo.

“The collaboration with Cortina Marketing, in following up on what we have already started with the Dolomiti Bellunesi Foundation, is part of our goal to reduce the seasonality of traffic flows at the Venice airport by extending them into the winter period. With less than 140 days to go before the event of the Olympics and Paralympics, for which Marco Polo is the official gateway to the Northeast, recalling the proximity of Cortina and the Dolomites to the airport is a valuable opportunity to reinforce this message together,” – said Camillo Bozzolo, Director of Aviation Development of SAVE Group.
